Our exclusive hunting territory in the NWT is 13,000 square kilometres in size and is located in the heart of the Mackenzie Mountains of the NWT. There is no road access to the area -- the only access is by air. The remoteness and unsurpassed beauty of this area is something every mountain hunter should experience at least once in his or her lifetime.
We hunt Dall sheep, Alaska-Yukon moose and mountain caribou using a combination of Argos, riverboats and aircraft to assist hunters in the field.
To ensure an abundance of mature, trophy-quality rams we maintain a conservative sheep harvest. This allows us to operate in a sustainable manner with extremely high success rates. Our rams consistently average about 37.5” and about 11 years of age.
We hunt our moose in the heart of the rut and limit the number of hunters we book to ensure a good supply of trophy-quality bulls. Our caribou are among the best in North America. Most caribou are taken as add-on animals on a sheep or moose hunt for a trophy fee.
Limiting the number of hunters we book, the high quality of our equipment and our professional guide services ensure that every hunter will have access to hunting areas that are fresh for each hunt.
Most of our mountain hunts are done from fly camps consisting of comfortable tent frames. At our base camps we have modern conveniences such as satellite communications, internet service, laundry and hot showers.
Season:
- 9 day 1:1 hunts for Dall sheep - July 31 - August 30
- 10 day 1:1 hunts for Alaska-Yukon moose - September 8 - 17 (approximately)
Mountain caribou may be taken as an add-on animal on either a sheep or moose hunt for a trophy fee.
- 14 day 1:1 Sheep/Moose/Caribou Hunt September 1-14.
To get here: Clients fly via commercial jet service from Edmonton, Alberta to Norman Wells, NWT. From there they are flown by air charter to the base camp, which is about 240 km southwest of Norman Wells.
