Central African Wildlife Adventures is specialised in exclusive hunting safaris in one of the last true wildernesses of Africa. Each year, we receive no more than a handful of privileged guests in our hunting area, which is one of the most remote in Africa today. This gives us the opportunity to be genuinely personal and authentic. We know that each guest is coming with his or her own dreams and expectations, and we are dedicated to making your Central African adventure one you will never forget.
Our four concessions form a block of two million hectares (5 million acres) in the eastern CAR and are totally untouched by humans. The hunting grounds are situated at the junction between the southern rainforests and the northern savannahs, which gives us the possibility to offer a marvellous hunt for both savannah species and rainforest species from the same camp. Trophy quality is exceptional, with several SCI Record Book Top 5 trophies taken each year. In 2009, the no. 2 SCI bongo was taken in our area, as well as the no. 3 SCI L.D. eland.
We offer hunts for many of the most sought-after trophies in Africa today. The majestic Lord Derby eland is very well-represented in the area, as well as the elusive bongo. Leopards are abundant and very good-sized. Our lions are hunted either by tracking or by calling, which is one of the greatest adrenaline rushes one can experience. Three of the four African pigs can be hunted in our area; the rare giant forest hog, the beautiful red river hog and the warthog. Central African savannah buffaloes, roan antelopes, Sing Sing waterbucks, Lelwel’s hartebeests and several duikers roam the savannah, and the rainforests host good numbers of forest buffaloes and yellow-backed duikers.
Our camps are authentic and comfortable. Each bungalow or tent includes a bedroom, as well as a bathroom with flush toilet and a hot shower. The outmost care has been taken to create exclusive camps, with the placement of each bungalow or tent carefully selected to give an aura of privacy and romance.
The cuisine is mainly French, but with worldwide influences from places like Scandinavia, China and Lebanon. A touch of the Central African traditions completes the picture. The hunted game meat makes up an important part of the menu, together with vegetables from our own garden and fresh fish from the rivers in the area.
We welcome you to come and live the most exclusive hunting adventure in Central Africa.
